Hello
My name is Sylvie Giraud
Originally from France, I am an oil painter artist living in Florida. I begin each work with a positive feeling and a deep connection to Nature. The natural world is both my primary source of inspiration and an invitation to pause, observe, feel and connect. Drawing from meaningful experiences, personal memories and photographs, or emotionally resonant subjects and themes, I explore the beauty and significance found in everyday life. My practice unfolds mainly through three distinct series: gentle Stories, which celebrate intimate moments from daily life; Roses, which reflect the emotions and meanings carried by these timeless flowers; and Paradise, which searches for harmony in the natural world. Through color, form, light and composition, I seek to inspire joy, curiosity and reflection. With each painting, I am looking to offer the viewers a gentle pause – a space to feel, remember and reconnect, if only for a moment, with Nature and with themselves.
My Story
Born and raised in the South of France, Sylvie Giraud grew up in a loving, supporting and hard-working family. After spending several years living and working in Germany, she embraced new horizons by relocating to South Florida for a professional opportunity and the appealing warm climate. Quickly feeling a sense of belonging in South Florida, she settled and met her husband, Vincent, a South Floridian originated from St. Barts. Scientist from education, she reconnected and developed her artistic side several years ago. How did it happen? She decided to stop running and simply breathe, allowing creativity to surface. Emerging artist, she showcases her oil paintings in galleries, arts festivals and publications, marking the beginning of her journey as a professional artist.
